Sidhu Moose Wala murder case: Santosh Jadhav was arrested by the Pune rural police from Gujarat. Later, he was produced before the magistrate late at night on Sunday following he has been remanded to police custody till June 20.



Pune: Pune Rural crime branch has arrested shooter Santosh Jadhav, one of the accused in the murder case of famous Punjabi singer and Congress worker Sidhu Moose Wala, informed an official said on Monday.
As per reports, Santosh Jadhav was arrested by the Pune rural police from Gujarat. Later, he was produced before the magistrate late at night on Sunday following he has been remanded to police custody till June 20.
Pune Police have also arrested an aide of Santosh Jadhav, Navnath Suryawanshi. He is also one of the prime suspects in the broad daylight shooting of Sidhu Moose Wala at Jawaharke village in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29. The arrests have been made based on the inputs divulged from the interrogation of Sourav Mahakal.

"Santosh Jadhav and Navnath Suryawanshi were arrested from Gujarat last night. We have their remand till June 20. Further probe to be done including their links with Lawrence Bishnoi's gang and in the murder of Punjabi Singer Siddu Moose Wala," informed Kulwant Kumar Sarangal, Additional Director General (Law and Order) in a press brief today.

Jadhav, who is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has been detained in a 2021 murder case registered at Manchar police station in the Pune district. He was on the run for a year. His and Navnath Suryavanshi’s name cropped up in the Moose Wala murder probe, the official said as reported by PTI.
Pune rural police intensified their search and arrested Siddhesh Kamble alias Sourav Mahakal, accused of sheltering Jadhav after the 2021 murder case.
Pune rural police arrested Mahakal, a member of the Bishnoi gang, last week in a case of MCOCA registered against him at Manchar police station. He was also interrogated by Delhi Police Special Cell and Punjab Police in connection with the Moose Wala murder case. Mumbai Police also grilled Mahakal in connection with a threat letter to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father, scriptwriter Salim Khan.
Pune rural sent multiple teams to Gujarat and Rajasthan last week to trace Jadhav, the official added as reported by PTI.
As per police, Sourav Mahakal had introduced two Maharashtra-based shooters Santosh Jadhav and Navnath Suryavanshi to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who had allegedly carried out the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
Earlier, Mahakal had told the investigating officials that he had introduced the shooters to Bishnoi’s aide, Vikram Brar, after which they were hired for Rs 3 lakh each adding that he also got Rs 50,000 for the introduction.
